China's 'leftover' women

The term "leftover women" (sheng nu) is used widely in China to refer to women in their late twenties or older who are unmarried.

It has been used in state-run media and some state bodies since 2007.

But many women who are unmarried and fall into this category are unhappy about the label.

Elissa, a 29-year-old marketing executive in Beijing, spoke to The World's Mary Kay Magistad.
