PJ Harvey guest edits 'unusual' Today
Musician PJ Harvey has guest edited BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
The show featured WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange discussing the link between knowledge and power, poems read by actor and director Ralph Fiennes, and testimonies from torture victims.
At the beginning of the three-hour programme PJ Harvey explained her intentions, saying she saw the chance to guest edit as "an opportunity to try and do something unusual with the format and content of the programme".
She added that she wanted to fill the programme with the voices of those who "challenge us and move us to examine our deepest beliefs and feelings".
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Thursday 2 January 2013.
