Blondie, Sir Paul McCartney and Lily Allen on NME red carpet

NME has named its favourite music acts of 2014, at the magazine's annual awards bash at the O2 Academy in Brixton, London.

Blondie were handed the Godlike Genius award before performing for other winners, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Lily Allen and Haim.

Arctic Monkeys were the night's overall big hitters with five prizes, including Best British band and Album.
