Monopoly's game theory

Millions of people around the world grew up addicted to Monopoly - vying to buy Park Avenue and trying to avoid being sent to jail. Less familiar, however, is the origin of the game.

The story many have heard is that an unemployed salesman struck it rich when he invented Monopoly during the Great Depression, but in fact the real genius behind this much-beloved pastime was a woman-as author Mary Pilon reveals in her new book.

Pilon, the author of The Monopolists, spoke to the BBC's Katty Kay on the set of World News America.
