Reclaiming the streets in Johannesburg's 'Place of Light'

DJ Edu's quest to find the best nightclub in Africa leads him to the South African city of Johannesburg, notorious for its high rates of violent crime.

The Johannesburg district of Maboneng was for many decades considered too dangerous to go out in at night. But now a younger generation of clubbers are reclaiming the area.

"There is a lot more nightlife in town, people are moving back into the city which is very cool. It's very youth orientated and street culture is alive - it's very exciting," says one clubber.
