A piece of Albert Einstein's brain to take home

Einstein's death 60 years ago was just the start of a bizarre journey for the most prized part of his anatomy, his brain. For over 40 years it was kept in glass jars by Dr Thomas Harvey, the pathologist who performed the scientist's autopsy in April 1955.

In this clip from a 1994 BBC documentary, Harvey shows his brain to a visitor from Japan, Dr Kenji Sugimoto, and offers him a small piece of Einstein to take home.
