The women 'shouting' their abortions

Women around the world are sharing deeply personal stories about having an abortion and publishing their experiences to social media. Others object strongly to what's being shared.

The hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion has been used over 100,000 times in 24 hours. It was started in response to a US Senate proposal to defund the women's healthcare group Planned Parenthood, following a controversy over the alleged sale of aborted foetuses.
