Seth MacFarlane says movie gags are 'defensible'

Seth MacFarlane has told Newsbeat that the gags in his new film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, are "defensible."

When asked if he was expecting any reaction from race, gay or women's groups, the actor, who also wrote and directed the movie, said:

"I don't think there'll be a lot of that. I think everything has a context. We've been very careful, there's a defence for everything."

We also spoke to Charlize Theron who let us in on a secret on the filming of one of the shooting scenes.

Both were speaking to entertainment reporter Chi Chi Izundu.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is in cinemas on 30 May.
