She's 23 and began transitioning two years ago.
In 2011, while living as a man in Leicester, she had petrol poured over her and was set on fire in a suspected random homophobic attack.
She suffered serious burns but says the experience prompted her to reassess her life.
It comes as former boxing promoter Frank Maloney has revealed he is undergoing gender reassignment and now lives as a woman called Kellie.
