This woman is in the running for a one-way trip to Mars
Maggie Lieu is one step closer to giving up everything for a one-way trip to Mars.
The 24-year-old, who's doing a PHD in astronomy and space at the University of Birmingham, is one of five Britons to make the final 100 shortlisted for the Mars One mission.
She'll now begin training to see how she'll cope on the red planet, before the final 40 are chosen.
The mission aims to send teams of four to the red planet every two years from 2025.
It's one of several projects aiming to put humans on Mars, but this one plans to select the final candidates with the help of a reality TV show.
But there's no way back if they get to go. So we had some big questions for Maggie at a planetarium in Birmingham.
