Jenny's story: I didn't know my dad had me sectioned

Jenny says she experienced eating disorders and depression from a young age.

This eventually led to the 26-year-old being sectioned three years ago.

She didn't realise until recently that it was her dad who insisted on her being sectioned.

The Mental Health Act was used more than 50,000 times in England last year, according to the Health and Social Care Information Centre - an increase of 30% over the last decade.

Jenny's dad Chris says it was a difficult but necessary decision.
