Dinosaur from Triassic period discovered in Argentina

Scientists have announced a new type of dinosaur dating from the late Triassic period, around 230m years ago.

Researchers writing in the journal Science say Eodromaeus was a small, two-legged runner of not much more than 1.2m (4ft) in length and 4-6kgs (10-15lbs) in weight.

They reconstructed the dinosaur, a probable ancestor of T.rex, from almost complete skeletons found in the Valley of The Moon, in northwestern Argentina.

This video shows the reconstruction of the dinosaur's head and neck over replicas of the bones.
