Sir Ranulph Fiennes begins record Antarctica trek

The British explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, has set off from South Africa on the first leg of one of the last remaining polar challenges crossing Antarctica during the winter.

Temperatures are likely to fall to around minus 70 degrees Celsius.
