Britain's butterflies thrive as a result of last summer's sunshine

Britain's butterflies have thrived as a result of last summer's sunshine and warmer temperatures.

The Wider Countryside Butterfly Survey found species like the brimstone, common blue and small tortoiseshell all bounced back after a drop in numbers in 2012.
