Scientists 'expect to find' echoes of the Big Bang

A group of scientists in the United States are expected to announce that they have discovered ripples in space-time that originate from the Big Bang.

Dr Joanna Dunkley, cosmologist and lecturer in astrophysics at the University of Oxford, explained that this could potentially present scientists with "the most direct view possible" of the Big Bang.
