One giant step: UK spaceport plan unveiled

Eight aerodromes have been shortlisted as a potential base for the UK's first spaceplane flights, which ministers want to establish by 2018.

Supporters have said the base could be used by companies taking tourists into space, as well as to launch satellites.

One of the potential spaceport sites is in north Wales, from where the BBC's Pallab Ghosh reports.
