UK astronaut names International Space Station mission 'Principia'

Tim Peake, the British astronaut who is heading the the International Space Station at the end of 2015, has revealed the name of his mission.

The European Space Agency received 4000 entries to its competition to name the mission and Major Peak chose the name 'Principia' in honour of Sir Isaac Newtonand his book 'Principia Mathematica'.

Previous mission names have included 'Marco Polo' for the Italian astronaut Roberto Vittori, and 'Odissia' for the Belgian astronaut Frank de Winne.
