Time-lapse Nasa footage shows the Sun over five years

Space agency Nasa has released a time-lapse video which it says shows the Sun over period of nearly five years - by capturing one frame every eight hours.

The time-lapse begins in June 2010 and lasts until 5 February 2015.

The footage has been made public to mark the fifth anniversary of Nasa's Solar Dynamic Observatory.
