The worldwide risk of massive flooding

The number of people affected by river flooding around the world could almost triple over the next 15 years because of climate change and population growth.

According to new analysis from the World Resources Institute, in the UK alone almost 76,000 people a year could be at risk of flooding if defences are not improved.
