Tim Peake looks relaxed as Soyuz capsule lifts off

Tim Peake appeared happy and relaxed as the Soyuz capsule set off for the International Space Station.

The former army pilot smiled and gave a thumbs-up soon after blast off from Baikonur.

Major Tim is making history, becoming the first UK government-sponsored astronaut.
