Iridium to begin constellation roll-out
The Iridium satellite company is about to replace its constellation, which has provided global voice and data links for the past 19 years.
The new spacecraft will go up 10 at a time on SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets.
Iridium CEO Matt Desch started work almost a decade ago on the $3bn project.
He told our correspondent Jonathan Amos what it felt like to be on the cusp of a new era.
