What does it take to go on a one-way trip to Mars?
Who'd go on a one-way trip to Mars? It’s a planet which offers plenty of interesting ways to die – explosive decompression, suffocation, freezing to death, cosmic radiation, and poisoning by toxic dust.
And yet, according to a YouGov survey commissioned for BBC Radio 4's Mars Week, more than one in ten of us would take a one-way ticket to the red planet.
So what does it really take to be fit for the bill? Claudia Hammond reveals all to the Today programme.
