Ask.fm: Hannah Smith's father wants government action

"The government needs to bring in new regulations so that people are safe," according to David Smith, whose daughter Hannah hanged herself after suffering abuse on the website Ask.fm.

The social networking site announced changes on Monday to combat bullying, following the death of Hannah Smith, and other cases of harassment.

Mr Smith said Ask.fm did not need to be shut down, since it had shown it was ready to make its site safer. But he has called on the government to do more.
