CES 2014: The smart bed that has its own app

At $8,000 (£4,880) this bed from Sleep Number costs a lot more than the average price for such furniture.

That is because inside its mattress can be found a vast array of technology to help you get a better night's rest.

Sensors keep tabs on a person's entire body to see how restful their night is, while another function lets a disturbed partner gently move their snoring bed mate to help hush them.

The BBC's Dave Lee got into bed with Sleep Number's vice president of sleep innovation Pete Bils to find out more.
