Driving performance analysed with a data recorder
Many cars are kitted out with numerous sensors, recording our every driving manoeuvre in precise detail.
But until now it has not been easily available to drivers who want to use that to improve their performance.
American car giant General Motors is hoping to change that, offering racing enthusiasts a "performance data recorder" on its Corvette range. The telemetry software records all the data for drivers to pore over afterwards on a PC.
The BBC's North America Technology Correspondent Richard Taylor took the new system for a spin.
