90 years ago a couple strapped a camera to a stick to take a photo of themselves.

Alan Cleaver from Whitehaven sent this picture of his grandparents doing it to the BBC.

But could this be the first photo taken with a "selfie stick"?

Now, the method of strapping a camera to a pole is so common there are laws against doing it with bluetooth camera phones in South Korea.
