Microsoft shows off Cortana on PC

Microsoft executive Joe Belfiore demonstrates the firm's Cortana assistant working on a desktop PC for the first time.

Microsoft has announced that its next operating system, Windows 10, will be offered as a free upgrade to owners of devices running Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Phone.
