What are Google's Project Jacquard and Project Soli?
The use of tiny hand gestures to control devices and weaving electronics into clothing are two of the areas Google's Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) unit are researching, senior executive Regina Dugan has told the BBC's North America technology correspondent Richard Taylor.
Project Soli and Project Jacquard aimed to "break the tension" between the ever shrinking screen sizes need to put the devices on our bodies and the ability to interact with them, she explained.
