Aleppo becomes 'first' war zone filmed in 360 video

Filmmaker Christian Stephen has posted what he claims to be the world's first war zone filmed in 360 degree video.

Shot in the ruined city of Aleppo in Syria the film is narrated by one of its residents and shows the devastation caused by years of civil war.

Viewers can move around the images using their mouse, trackpad or touchscreen.

Mr Stephen who is one of RYOT.org, external's global editor, says filming in 360 degrees helps the viewer empathise with what is being seen.
