Google News boss: We're not a media company

The boss of Google News has said the company does not "produce media".

Richard Gingras was arguing that this is the reason Google does not describe itself as a media company.

The Google News boss was challenged by Nick Robinson, who said the company resisted this description as then it would have legal responsibility over what was being published on its site.
