Amber Jae Slooten says people said she was crazy when she set up a digital-only design studio, The Fabricant, in Amsterdam.

But she is sure the market for avatar clothing will grow as the metaverse expands.

The Fabricant has raised $14m from investors, and one of its digital dresses sold for $19,000.
