Aldwych Tube station tours recreate the Blitz

Aldwych underground station has reopened to the public, recreating its WWII use as a shelter from the Blitz.

The sold-out tours are being held from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 September, conducted by actors in 1940s clothing.

The station went out of service in 1994 and is now used for training and as a location for film and television.

Sam Mullins from the London Transport Museum showed the BBC's Robert Hall around the station.
