David Cameron set to warn cuts 'will not be easy'

David Cameron will warn Britain of the tough times ahead this afternoon as he addresses the Conservative party conference for the first time as Prime Minister.

He is expected to acknowledge that jobs will be lost and services will go in a round of cuts that he says 'won't be easy'.

But the government insists that their decisions will be guided by fairness.
