Spending Review: Police 'can manage' with spending cuts
George Osborne has announced that spending on the police would fall by 4% a year until 2015.
He said protecting citizens was a primary duty of government but scope for savings had been identified.
Paul McKeever of the Police Federation said he hoped the police could continue to serve the public in various ways rather than "just dealing with core business".
John Graham from the Police Foundation said the cuts are better than what was expected.
