Fresh BBC strikes are announced over pension dispute

BBC journalists are to go on strike after union members rejected the corporation's plan to overhaul the pension scheme.

The National Union of Journalists has announced its members voted 70 per cent to 30 per cent in favour of rejecting the proposal to introduce a new career average pension scheme.

Jeremy Dear, the General Secretary of the National Union of Journalists said he thought the strike could have a very big impact across the BBC.
