Chandlers released by Somali pirates

Retired UK couple Paul and Rachel Chandler have been freed by Somali pirates after spending more than a year in captivity.

Will Ross said the couple had arrived safely in Kenya, but that there were some further 500 people still being held hostage by pirates.

The BBC observed the terms of an injunction obtained by the Chandlers' family which was intended to stop news organisations reporting their release until they were out of Somalia - for their own safety.
