Liverpool remembers worst night of Blitz

People in Liverpool are marking the seventieth anniversary of Liverpool's worst loss of life in the Blitz.

Three hundred and fifty tonnes of high explosives, thirty landmines and thousands of incendiary bombs killed almost three hundred people in one night. Edge Hill Training College, where more than a hundred people were sheltering, suffered a direct hit.
