'Worst weather for over 20 years' in Rothbury

Hundreds of schools have been shut in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the north-east of England and Cornwall, as ice and snow disrupt travel.

Residents in the village of Rothbury, Northumberland have been describing the conditions, with one saying it was the worst weather to hit the area in more than 20 years.
