Snow causes problems in Auchterarder and much of Scotland

There have been fresh snow falls across many parts of the UK, bringing disruption to some areas not previously affected and closing hundreds of schools.

The conditions are also difficult on the roads, with the M8 - the arterial route between Edinburgh and Glasgow - being reduced to a single lane.
