Relieved Britons return home from Libya

British nationals returning to Gatwick from Libya have described chaotic scenes at Tripoli airport as they tried to get flights out of the country.

Some stranded Britons have criticised the government's response to the crisis in recent days, saying not enough was done to ensure their safety.

Foreign Secretary William Hague admitted delays in supplying planes to evacuate Britons had been "infuriating".
