William Hague: No option on Libya crisis 'pain free'
William Hague has said that there are no '"pain free" or "simple" options in dealing with the crisis in Libya, but that contingency plans are being made to deal with whatever may happen there.
Speaking to the BBC's Nick Robinson, the foreign secretary suggested that if people in Libya were to be killed in large numbers that it was "unlikely the world would want to stand idly by".
He said a policy was being pursued to put pressure on Col Gaddafi's regime and that much would depend on the Libyan leader's conduct in the coming days.
