Cameron: UK will play its part in Libya

David Cameron has said that the UK will "play its part" following the UN's approval of a resolution on Libya that allows "all necessary measures", short of an invasion, to protect civilians.

He said that UK forces would join an international operation to enforce the resolution should Libyan leader Col Gaddafi fail to end attacks on his people.

The prime minister's comments came as he addressed the House of Commons.
