Libya: 'The time for action has come' says Cameron
Air strikes on Libya now appear imminent after a summit in Paris attended by Prime Minister David Cameron and other world leaders.
The prime minister said Col Gaddafi had broken his own ceasefire and would now face the consequences of his actions.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy confirmed that his country's jets had already been deployed.
Mr Cameron described the meeting as a successful one, aimed at enforcing the will of the United Nations and stressed that Arab countries had played a part.
