'Serious concerns' at Ford Prison before riot
Inspectors who visited an open prison one month before rioting broke out had "serious concerns" about the way it was being run, a report has revealed.
The riot involved about 40 inmates at Ford Prison in West Sussex on New Year's Day, when several buildings were burnt to the ground.
Prison inspectors found significant problems with drugs and alcohol, and poor relationships between staff and prisoners.
The BBC's Sophie Hutchinson reports.
