Study shows Britain has higher stillbirth rates than most other high-income countries

New research suggests many stillbirths in the UK could be prevented.

The authors say better monitoring of pregnant women, and addressing risk factors such as drinking and obesity, could reduce deaths.

The study in the Lancet also shows Britain has higher stillbirth rates than almost all other high-income countries.
