VIP guests arrive for state banquet at Buckingham Palace

President Obama and his wife, Michelle, were the guests of honour at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace, with some 170 VIP guests in attendance.

The banquet was hosted by the Queen and attended by royalty, politicians and film stars.

Gordon Brown, Richard Branson, Tom Hanks, Kevin Spacey, Helena Bonham-Carter and her director husband Tim Burton were among the guests.
