National Citizen Service project for teenagers launched

One of the first National Citizen Service pilot projects has been launched in Cumbria.

The government programme has been championed by Prime Minister David Cameron to encourage teenagers to learn new skills and volunteer in their communities.

Up to 10,000 young people are expected to take part in the scheme over the summer months.
