NoW showbiz editor Dan Wootton: Nobody expected this

The News of the World's showbusiness editor, Dan Wootton, has been describing how employees were told that the newspaper is to close.

Speaking to the BBC's Clive Myrie, he said it was a shock that nobody was expecting.

The move follows recent allegations that the paper authorised hacking into the mobile phones of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler and the families of 7/7 bombing victims.

It has also been reported that payments were made to police officers to obtain information.
