Brooks 'would take responsibility' over Milly hacking claims

Former editor of the News of the World Rebekah Brooks has said she would take responsibility if it is proved Milly Dowler's phone was hacked by the paper.

Asked whether she knew about the claims that the phone of the murdered teenager had been hacked, she said the first she heard of the claims was two weeks' ago and "I don't know anyone who would think it was the right and proper thing to do."
