London disturbance: Bus set alight in Tottenham protest

Petrol bombs have been thrown at police and three patrol cars, a bus and buildings have been set on fire in a disturbance in Tottenham, north London.

The incident began after a protest over the fatal shooting of a young man by police on Thursday turned violent.

About 300 people have gathered outside the police station on the High Road in Tottenham.

It comes after a 29-year-old father-of-four, named locally as Mark Duggan, was shot dead by police on Thursday.

Speaking from Tottenham, the BBC's Ben Ando said there is a "tense stand off" at the south end of the High Road.
